I gave myself an unusual birthday present this year. |
I started a new blog back in August, on my fifty-second birthday. Inspired by Julie Powell of
Julie and Julia and Gretchen Rubin of
The Happiness Project, I vowed to try something new every day for a year and blog about it. Over the course of the eighty-four days that have passed since then, I have had some wonderful experiences that I undoubtedly wouldn't have had if not for my resolution. I have experimented with new recipes, visited unfamiliar places, even learned a thing or two. Some have become a part of my daily life. Since my budget is tight, most are low-cost or no-cost. Here are a few of my favorites.
1.
Godiva Dark Chocolate.
2.
Pillsbury Mocha Fudge Brownies.
3.
Once Upon A Time.
4.
100 Push-Ups/200 Sit-Ups.
5.
Pumpkin Spice K-Cups.
6.
PaperBack Swap.
7.
Pinterest.

Very cool!
My favorite new things that are of no and little cost? (Sorry no links)
My Kindle
Evansville Public Library
Goodreads book giveaways
Cedar's Roasted Garlic Hummus
My slow-cooker and all the great free recipies
Almond milk
Steel-cut oats
And thanks for asking.
That's a great list, Julee! I'll have to try the Cedar's Roasted Garlic Hummus - that sounds great! And thanks for the reminder about the slow cooker - it's that time of year again! :-)
Cool list Pam. I can't tell you mine, otherwise I wouldn't have anything to talk about tomorrow. *wink*
I am counting the hours, Lindy! 2.5, to be exact... ;-)
Nice list, Pam. I'm new to Pinterest. Still working my way through everything. Lots of pretty stuff. :)
I am going to have to grab some of that Pumpkin Spice coffee. I don't have the K-cups, but I do think I can use some of the stuff you posted on your other blog. :)
Tami
Pinterest is addictive, Tami. Beware! ;-)
You will love the Godiva coffee. Much more flavorful than the K-Cups!
